Beautiful Lakeside Cabin - Well Maintained

The cabin itself was beautiful, well-maintained and fully stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. Had a quaint rustic feel, but still provided top quality amenities. The property included easy access to the lake and we took advantage of the included kayaks to go for a trip on the water. It was very private and secluded, yet only a 20 minute drive to Ithaca. The owner was friendly and provided constant communication to make sure we had everything we needed.

I would definitely return to this location for any future trips to Lake Cayuga!

our family had an exceptional celebration of Canadian Thanksgiving at Cayuga Cabins.

The accomodations were perfect for gathering as a group (there were 12 of us)as well as for enjoying private moments with spouses, children, or grandchildren. The location allowed for quiet time in a kayak or on one of the many decks, or enjoying the wineries and the endless activities in the nearby town of Ithaca. We highly recommend these extraordinary cabins for an exceptional family vacation

Incredible cabins for a Finger Lakes getaway

This is an incredible property. It is situated right on the lake, with an amazing dock, and a wraparound porch with beautiful views. The house has tons of great little amenities, including a fire pit, a grill, a game room featuring a pool table and dartboard, a spacious kitchen with modern appliances, and several large televisions. The location is perfect - close to the gorgeous Watkins Glen State Park, several great wineries, and the city of Ithaca. 5 star experience and amazing for groups.

Absolutely amazing place to stay!!

We've rented this property two years in a row for our annual family trip!!!! The kitchen is huge and perfect for cooking for large groups. The amazing dinning room table fits everyone! The guest house is perfect if you need a quieter place for younger kids. A fire pit, huge front porch, pool table, darts and kayaks provided entertainment and gathering spots for everyone! It's a perfect location if you like to ride bikes and its convenient to get to Aurora and Ithaca! We've made it our home away from home for one week every year! The owner, Steve is great!!!! He responds quickly to any questions. We never had any issues but I imagine he'd rectify those just as quick!!! Our family definitely gives this rental five stars!!!!

Awesome!

A mom, 4 sons, 4 daughters in law, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren celebrated our mom's 90th birthday at Cayuga Cabins. My mom's comments says it all: "I wish I could stay here for a year."

The cabins were everything we wanted and more. Thanks to Steve and his staff for making our mom's birthday on Cayuga Lake a memory we will never forget!

A peaceful oasis

Cayuga Cabins was a wonderful place for a peaceful vacation in the Finger Lakes. We immensely enjoyed the property and the well-stocked homes. There is lots of room for company. The yard and the view are great! There is so much to enjoy around Cayuga lake. We used the kayaks and rented a boat which we were able to dock at the cabins. We also went paddle boarding at a nearby state park. The owner and property manager were very attentive and responsive to any requests. The kitchen was very easy to work in and the dining table was great for family dinners. It was especially nice to be able to bring our dogs on the trip, who really enjoyed the yard. All in all, a great vacation!

Excellent stay...perfect setup for large families

Everything was very easy to handle, from the initial reservation to the last day of the stay. In today's busy world we wanted a great place to stay while not having to put a lot of effort in preparing for the stay. And our stay was effortless done, when we showed up it was extremely clean, well stocked with the essentials, and ready for real living and enjoyment for the week.

Steve (the owner) was very welcoming and very easy to work with. Although we have never met Steve, but my brothers and I felt like we have known him for years.

We did find the place very relaxing, from the nightly bonfires, to the very comfortable deck down by the waterfront, overlooking the lake frontage/beach and dock area.

The inside of the two cottages was great too, plenty of space for our sizable group.

The kayaks came in real handy also, there are a number of them, along with life jackets and paddles - we had a blast using those items.

The large dinning room table was also great for a group our size, a lot of meals were prepared in the large adjoining well equipped kitchen and eaten at that table, a great gathering place.

And we held cookouts outside, using the gas grill and eating at the multiple number of tables on the large wrap around deck.

All and all, a super week at this property......we would definitely recommend this property to others, and are planning a revisit ourselves for either next year or the following year....

Relaxing vacation in a beautiful location

I have to review with other reviewers that the pictures do not do this property justice. The cabins exceeded my expectations. The Master Suite is beautiful and spacious. The property was clean and well maintained. Steve the owner was extremely responsive to any issues or questions as they arose. I would recommend this property without reservation. There were 10-14 of us at any given time and we all had plenty of room. Kayaking was great fun and we rented a pontoon boat one day and did our own tour of the wineries by boat, which I would highly recommend. We also brought a fishing boat with us which we launched at Meyers Park about 6 miles south of the property. The Boatyard Grille in Ithaca was a great choice for dinner for 14 of us one evening. We enjoyed late nights at the fire pit, kayaks, paddle ball in the yard, swimming in the lake and playing pool. Everyone agreed it was very relaxing due to the spaciousness of the properties. The six adult "kids" stayed in the second cabin which worked out great! Highly recommend the Cayuga Cabins!!

A perfect setting for a family gathering!

Cayuga Cabins was everything we were looking for and more! Our family of 14 loved every minute of our stay at Cayuga Cabins for Cornell Commencement. The houses are large, comfortable, cozy, well appointed and stocked with all the conveniences of home. The large porches have wonderful views of Cayuga Lake and were a favorite gathering place. Our group ranged in ages from 10 to 86 and the property offered something for everyone. The main house was accessible (4 steps from grass to porch) for grandparents with some mobility concerns. Indoors, we enjoyed the Big Red game room with the pool table and darts as well as the super kitchen and family room. Outdoors, we enjoyed the hammock, kayaks and sitting on the landing during the day and the firepit in the evenings. The property is well-maintained and everything is in good condition. Steve was very responsive and helpful with questions before and during our stay and we appreciated all he did to make our stay so enjoyable. Frank (property manager) was also very helpful. This property is in an ideal location - very convenient to Cornell and the city of Ithaca. It was a wonderful setting for relaxing together after attending Commencement activities. We enjoyed dining outdoors at The Aurora Inn one night (gorgeous sunset) and also visited a winery during our stay. If you're looking for a perfect place to vacation in the Finger Lakes region, we highly recommend Cayuga Cabins . Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!

Best vacation to date!

My family and I spent a wonderful week in these cabins. We cannot say enough about this property! The houses were both beyond our expectations! We were in love from the moment we pulled down the driveway. The views of the lake were breathtaking! The houses were warm and welcoming! The yard with the fire pit was our nightly entertainment as the kids played football while the adults watched from the fire. The lake was absolutely gorgeous and the kayaks were used almost daily by everyone. The adults all enjoyed the sitting area down by the dock as the kids fished and swam. This was absolutely one of the best vacations our family has ever taken! Steve was absolutely wonderful! He emailed several times during the vacation to see how we were doing and even called at the end with a question about our boat rental! We definitely will recommend this property! We are looking at going back next summer!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for opening this house to us!

Great family celebration at Cayuga Cabins

Before describing the property (which was great) we want share that Steve was the best owner we have ever worked with in over 20 years of renting vacation homes. He was attentive and proactive checking in to make sure all was in order, and was very accommodating at every turn. This really made our vacation experience a special one.

Our party of 13 ranging in age from 9 to 75 had a wonderful week at Cayuga Cabins. The property has a nice grass area for soccer and firepit area for smores. Lakefront was fun with 4 kayaks. The main house was well appointed with the great room and game room. The pictures on the website are reflective of the house but the real thing was even more impressive. Warm welcoming space for all.

The lake itself was great- a quiet retreat for all with fishing and swimming round the clock. The town of Ithaca provided plenty of dining and entertainment options and the area wineries and parks provided plenty for all to do. If you are in the Finger Lakes region with a group, this is a great place to stay.
